About

Tanya Doody Ceramics is a small pottery studio in Southern Alberta, Canada. Everything is made by hand in small batches by one person with a love for all things ceramic.

Tanya's studies focused on ceramics at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) in Fredericton, New Brunswick and continued to develop through Sheridan College's esteemed Crafts and Design program in Oakville, Ontario in the 1990's. With over 20 years experience in working with ceramics in sculptural and functional contexts, her work continues to renew itself in relation to her evolving interests and passions. Current influences include Mid-Century Design and 80's-Era Design that experiments with bold form, color, pattern and decoration.

All work is handmade in small batches in Lethbridge, Alberta and is highly crafted with porcelain and stoneware clay produced locally in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
